Mentoring

Through a carefully selected programme of mentoring counselling and guidance, United in Care seeks to engage the minds and hearts of every individual to live a fulfilled life.

Learning through a programme of self-development and education allows the individual to recognise their own true potential and proceed in life in a way which will not only be of benefit to them but to the community they are surrounded by and to future generations.

Enhancing their outlook in life allows them to move forward independently and bring about positive change to society in the process.

The Three Stages of Community Enrichment
We all sometimes feel that the world has too many problems for us to do anything about it; but if we all woke up tomorrow and decided to act; it would make a huge difference. The cumulative effect of individual efforts can be enormous. Don’t underestimate your capacity to serve the community and even within our busy schedules it is not impossible to get involved in some way or another.

Step 1: Change starts with ourselves
The community is made up of individuals. At United in Care we believe that well developed individuals are the foundations and building blocks of a viable society. The first step for all of us at United in Care has been to look at our own lives from outside the box and begin to make changes within us to try to develop positive characteristics, which will allow us to become conscientious and fully engaged members of society. This development process is life long and in itself can provide inspiration to others around us and encourage them to embark on a similar journey.

Step 2: Creating change in our local community
More often than not, the social disorders of today are not far from home. We see their manifestations in our own families, friends and localities. We can act as good role models and get involved in raising awareness about and solving local issues. Reaching out to our communities in this way not only bridges gaps, but increases affinities between families, friends and neighbours bringing meaningful development to society.

Step 3: Volunteer

As United in Care is run on an entirely voluntary basis, the effort made by every individual is appreciated. You can become a mentor, help us run events at our mentoring centres, work within the community to raise awareness, help us raise funds or help us with the day to day running of the organisation. Even a few hours a week can help make an enormous to difference to your local community. Contact us to find out more.
